EKGS @ 12 celebrations A special prayer session to commemorate the twelve years of EKGS institute’s existence has been held at the school’s premises at Dansoman a suburb of Accra. The event which saw management of the institute, students and staff in
a prolonged praises and worship encounter was attended by old students,
well wishers and corporate partners as well.
According to the Founder and Director of the institute Mrs. Efua
Goode-Arthur, the program was held to give thanks to the Almighty God
for the great things he has done for the institute. She said the twelve
years of operation has not been without challenges but the most good
Lord has sailed the institute through even in the face of the world
economic melt down.
Enumerating the successes achieved by the institute, Mrs.
Goode-Arthur said she started the school with six students which now
boasts of sizable student population.
As part of the effort to satisfy the changing demands of industry
players, two retail shops Cake Matters and Floral Magic were opened to
sell wide range of quality sugar arts equipment from the USA industrial
giant Wilton international.
The institute and it’s international affiliates Wilton
International, last month introduced Wilton methods in Ghana which will
offer both beginner’s and professionals the opportunity to under go an
advanced foreign tuition in sugar arts right in their own country.
The introduction of this tuition into the country by the EKGS Culinary
Institute is in line with the school’s long term plan to bring
innovations into the sugar arts industry in Ghana.
Additionally the school has introduced another tuition also
known as Brush Up Skills which is specially designed as a refresher for
sugar arts practitioners who want to upgrade their skills. At EKGS, the
highly trained instructors make learning easy and exciting as they use
the state of the art multi media conferencing facility to teach.
